When Will Carpet Prices Drop?

November 14, 2009 by

Carpet prices increased tremendously in the last year and the sales people said it was due to the rise in the price of oil. Now that oil prices are dropping along with other comodity prices, when will we see the price of carpet dropping accordingly? How many months delay will there be for today’s oil prices to be reflected in carpet prices?

  1. AMALP org says:

As with every commodity dependent on oil, prices has had to be raised and until lower oil prices stabilize I seriously doubt we the consumers will see a drop in product prices. Manufacturing took a huge hit on rising prices and are looking to recoup some of their loss anyway they can and us little guys has got to be smarter shoppers.
As a smart consumer you could shop around and find close out deals or places of business going out of business and find your best prices.
