How much would or should it cost to install carpet in a medium size bedroom?

Do Any Carpet Places Do Installation On Sundays?

Like the title says, I’m moving next Saturday, and will most likely be spending that Saturday night ripping up the old carpet (it’s really nasty…pet stains and such) and scrubbing the floorboards with bleach and painting it with Kilz, so is there anywhere that would install the carpet on Sunday, since we’re busy Monday and I really don’t want to be without carpet for those 2 days?

Can I Carpet Over Asbestos Floor Tile?

I was planning to have Home Depot install new carpet throughout our house (we have a baby on the way). I just had a piece of floor tile tested for asbestos. It is 25% asbestos, unfortunately. House was built in 1967, but my husband and I were young and just getting married when we bought the house (8 years ago), and though we had it inspected, apparently asbestos was not part of the inspection. The previous homeowners did not mention any possibility of asbestos (the house was “for sale by owner” too). They seemed like good people, but shouldn’t they have said something about the tile? It seems suspicious that they had carpeted over this tile in two bedrooms, and the third bedroom has no carpeting at all, just those lovely tiles! And some closets have the tile too. Home Depot wants us to remove some tiles to tack down the new carpeting. Can’t they just carpet over it like the other rooms were done? I know we can’t afford to have the tile professionally removed.

This is for a large bed room, about 270 sq ft. (26*11). Where is the best carpet installation place in Westchester, New York?
I got a quote from a local carpet place in Mt. Kisco, NY. The name is Suburban Floor. Does any one know this store’s reputation? They gave me a quote for $1,270, which includes removal the existing carpet and install new carpet, Mohawk brand, Sensational styple, 40 oz synthetic hair and jute padding. Is this a good price? Can I use the existing padding? If I do, the price would reduce by $100.
Should I look into other companies such as Empire today, Home Depot and Lows? Any other suggestions?
Also, the carpet is about 6 years old. What is the average year that bed room carpet should be replaced?
