The whole-house air conditioning unit in my apartment is located indoors. The unit was leaking for sometime before I even realized that it was occuring (w/i the past 4-5 weeks). The carpet was saturated and now the landlord is willing to have the carpet cleaned but not replaced. Will just having them professionally cleaned kill and prevent mold growth?

I have found a system that will clean your carpets with a sponge type substance that cleans the carpet phenomenally. I had spilled some massage oil in the carpet and when cleaned up with this product it cleaned it up like it never happened. I was looking into having this as a business so am looking at market research.

Dealing With House Problems Not Found In Inspection After The Sale?

I just purchased a 11 year old home. Prior to moving in I had the owner steam clean the carpets. On moving day…I realized that the carpets are covered with Urine. Approximately 75% of the carpet in the house has urine stains and foot prints from where I dog has peed and walked through it over the years. The stains smell, and under blacklight they REALLY show the extent of the damage. I realize that older carpet is bound to have some stains, but I feel this is a material defect and not a small cosmetic issue. What recourse do I have, and how should I proceed?

Hi, I have been searching for a hoover like device, I saw on a tv programme a while ago a hoover that had a built in shampooing, washing and drying system. It was hire only at that point but it was suppose to be on sale by now..
So I am looking for anything similar that can clean my carpets and dry them, or even just something to DRY the carpet after I clean it..
Pleaseee help and I have a budget up to 120 pounds, but ideally would really be looking for something in the range up to 80 or less.
Please help if you can, as I have tried washing my carpets but they take ages to dry.
:-) Thank you to any replies

Do Most Carpet Cleaning Companies Use The Customer’s Water Source Or Do They Bring Their Own?

I hired a carpet cleaning service and was informed that they would not access to my water to clean the carpets. Is this typical? I thought that most companies use their own filtered water, but I may be wrong!

Buying Carpets

If you enter a carpet store and look around, you will be amazed to see the wide variety you can choose from. There will be textured plush carpets, saxony carpets, berber carpets and commercial grade carpets. Carpets of all kinds are available, wall to wall carpets, carpets that can be cut and used and carpet squares.

When you buy a carpet your primary consideration must be the amount of traffic that is going to move on the carpet, not the colour of the carpet. Carpet for bedroom will not have as much traffic as living room.
