Does Momma belong to a church? Sometimes a call to the minister asking for help from stronger parishioners will work. Then make a nice donation to the church.
Maybe a fraternity at a local university has members who can help out for a donation……or sometimes a case or two of beer!
They sell these little plastic tabs you can put on the bottom of your dressers, cabinets etc. They are called furniture sliders and you can buy them at wallmart or any hardware store.

Not familiar with your area, but in Atlanta we have a company called Labor Ready, and they provide men for any type of moving at a very low hourly rate. You probably would only need 2, for a couple of hours. I bought my guys a pizza after they did a very concientious job of packing and storing my entire 3 BR house. You might try the yellow pages under ‘Labor’, or call a temporary employment agency.

Rent a furniture dolly-that makes it easy. I bought one for about $20, but you can rent one.

Look in the telephone book under movers. There are all types of services. The newspaper will have ad’s too.
You can call a moving company and hire movers, or just ask everyone you know. Tell them you will supply food and drinks. If you can get enough females you can get the job done. Have them bring their male friends.
