Is This A Good Price For Carpet And Installation?

Having someone install carpet and padding and removing old carpet.My bedroom is 200 square feet.Berber carpet is $1.99 sq foot.He wants $750.00.

    Yes, that’s a very fair price, assuming he’s a pro and knows what he’s doing. Essentially you’re paying $400 for the carpet and $350 for the labor. Often labor is more than the material. If you’re getting a pad with this, that’s even better (make sure you ARE getting a pad, it will dramatically improve the feel and extend the life of the carpet). Assuming he knows how to properly seam carpet pieces, stretches and tucks the edges, and uses the correct thresholds for doors, this is a fair and reasonable price. Can you get it cheaper? Probably, but cheap isn’t always better. Does the guy have a good rep? If so, then Pay the Man.
