Is $25 Too Much For House Maid Service That Includes General Cleaning And Carpet Cleaning?

Hi, I’m thinking about launching a business and I don’t know if $25 dollars per week for cleaning is too much or too little. I live in Viera area and I’m doing some market research.
How much would you pay for someone to clean your whole house and (if you have carpet) clean your carpet with a carpet shampooer?

I did house cleaning about 15 years ago. It started out with friends and then to referrals. I charged $20. per hour, and I usually took 2 hours to clean a house. Bathrooms, kitchens, dusting ,vacuuming. I did not shampoo carpets.
In one house the lady of the house would rather I washed a couple load of clothes and dry them and put them away , than spend a lot of time dusting and vacuuming. So her bathrooms and kitchen got cleaned and her clothes done.
In another the lady wanted so much done that I had to bring in a friend and it took us 4 hours each. (That was 8 hours of pay) She wanted all her wood wiped down with orange oil. She had wood bookcases everywhere. Everything had to be removed the wood wiped down with the orange oil and then allowed to dry and then all the books and knickknacks put back in their exact same spot.Very tedious She also had us do all her ironing including her husband’s dress shirts . This was on top of the regular bathroom and kitchen cleaning, vacuuming and dusting

A lot will depend on the size of the house, and especially how much carpet there is. Rather than a flat rate, you should figure out an hourly fee, then charge per hour depending on how long the house will take to clean. For instance, if you think $25 per hour is a good rate, you could charge $100 for a house that will take you about 4 hours to clean, or that would take 4 people one hour to clean.
In my opinion, carpet shampooing once a week would be a bit much, since carpets can take a long time to dry. You can offer this as a service for an additional charge, but it probably shouldn’t be part of your weekly repertoire.
