Everyone likes their home neat and clean, smelling fresh and looking great. Although one needs to conduct regular carpet cleaning…It is a added advantage for the home and it is the best way to keep our home protected…We need to look for many factor and we should clean the carpet regularly otherwise it will create many problem..It is in our hands to maintain it..
Unless you remove your shoes when you come in the house, carpets are magnets for dust, dirt and filth from your shoes. In any case, they collect dust, animal hair, and attract carpet beetle and bedbugs. Never eat in a room where there is carpeting as all the crumbs and food bits get ground into it. Carpets must be vacuumed (hoovered) at least once a week and cleaned every 6 mos or they become a breeding ground for mites, allergens and insects.
Having lived for many years in a house with bare floors I am now aware of how unhygenic carpets are and I would never have wall-to-wall carpets again.
Are we talking about a carpet shampooer or a steam cleaner or a steam extraction cleaner? Each one is very different and the first only really cleans the surface dirt like washing your hair. The steam cleaner can improve stains but it is not extracting them, the germs and the odours only pushing it further into the carpet pile and the backing fibres. Still, both provide a refresher to the look of the carpet.
The steam extraction cleaner however lifts and absorbs all the dirt, bacteria and odours that multiply in your carpet’s fibres and really cleans it. If you are going to buy this then this is the one to get. It is MUCH much more expensive than either but as carpet gets grubby even walking on it in bare feet, then you certainly need something to keep it clean looking, if not completely clean and free of germs.
Im with Anna. I have polished wood floors throughout and I have a polisher and I buff them up like a gorgeous jarrah mirror and they look and feel spectacular.
We do have carpet in our bedrooms but I keep them clean looking with the H2o steamer mop which works a treat and you dont need expensive chemicals or anything. Mind you, every 12 months I get a proper extraction cleaner to come in and do them properly. Carpets get mites as well as build up of mildew and bacteria and odours. YUK!
