Has Anybody Had Any Experience With ‘empire Today’ For Carpet Installation?

   Some of my best customers have been former empire clients. They only had to deal w/ them once. They told me high pressure sales , high prices, and shoddy work.
   Go to your local mom and pop carpet place, you can t beat the service.. GL

   Stay away from this company! Currently Empire Today has an enormous amount of complaints filed against them with The Better Business Bureau. The next day installation is a joke!
   They claim the reason behind their high prices is b/c they offer next day installation. I know of people who were charged excessive rates at next day install prices and waited for over 2 weeks to get their carpet installed.There was no refund or discount provided to these customers as a result a huge delay for installs.
   This company currently has several lawsuits against them regarding overcharges on credit cards without authorization, shady workmanship, and inferior products having been used. The mark-up on their products and installs is insane.
   Through helping a client try and get some compensation back from them, I looked into their history and contacted the BBB to find out what the story was with them, I was informed as to all the pending lawsuits and complaints having been launched against them. In addition, through deeper inspection on this this company, they subcontract out their services to unqualified, unlicensed individuals who clearly do not know what the hell they are doing.
   I have purchased and worked on properties that Empire had done laminate flooring installs and carpeting installations previously from other homeowners who had utilized their services. My company was amazed at the poor workmanship of laminate flooring installations, carpeting, and the quality of materials was inferior, etc. I was amazed to see first hand the appauling job that was done, and there shear audacity to having charged these good paying customers what they did. It needed to be ripped up and completely redone by my company to correct the nightmare created by them.
   In end, unless you keep an attorney on retainer, stay away and seek out a local flooring company.

   Please don’t go to any place that promises next day installation. They have installers that are mostly inferior. My best friend has seen their work and says it it awful and they are not cheap as they advertise. If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
