Empire Today Carpet! Need Help?

i had empire give me an estimate on a carpet. the sales rep. said i need about 250yards of carpet, he quoted me a price of $8760.00, on nylon carpet with nice padding! i dont know is that a good price i need the carpet asap??? anyone know any info about that company if it is a bad or good company and if the price good!

empire is a rip off i sell 40 oz nylons installed for $27 a yard with a six pound pad and its stain-master with a 10 year labor warranty
Everybody that I know that had any dealings with Empire has had bad experiences! They are a big rip off! You should be able to get your carpet for about half of what they are quoting you! Please, please, please, shop around! Try Home Depot, Get a quote from a local guy, Get several quotes! You WILL be very glad you did! Empire Sucks!!!!
You should post the weight of the carpet padding. Good carpet padding would be 8 pound, it usually goes for 3 to 4 dollars a yard. My boyfriend wants to know how many ounces the carpet is, he used to work for Empire. What you are paying for is the next day installation. He thinks its probably a 35 oz and for that price you should be getting about a 55 oz carpet. I tried to email you. No luck. Email me back if you need more info.

I would put them on hold and shop around some more.
Empire out of Chicago sucks!
Stay away from Empire! That is what someone who used them told me, go see Lowes they have Mohawk at good prices.
