Empire Today Carpet Installation?

Has anyone ever used Empire Today or Home Depot for new carpet installation? If so, why or why wouldn’t you recommend using them? I’m looking into getting new carpeting for my living room. It’s about 240 square feet, and I’m not planning to get anything “fancy.” What about Home Depot or a similar service?

I have purchased, and had installed, carpet from both. Of the two, I would go with Home Depot again. Empire was good in terms of quickness and a financing deal of no interest for a year. I think cost was pretty much the same. Unfortunately, the installers did not speak English and we had a difficult time communicating to them that we could see the seam. They had to come back a few times. The Home Depot install went smoothly; we were pretty happy with that job.
When my clients ask about Empire, I just tell them my experience and that I wouldn’t use them again, but let them decide for themselves.
    You could also check Lowe’s.

I would never use Empire because I have seen their work. It is very bad. They may install carpeting the next day, but how many good installers are free on such a short notice? The answer is the ones who aren’t busy and do shoddy work. Also, they are known to be very expensive. Please be willing to wait a little longer and do not go to Empire. I know nothing of Home Depot installers.

I own a carpet business. If I go in & give an est. for $1600.00 I garauntee Empire will come in around $4000.00. I’ve seen it plenty of times. You are paying for that jingle. lol
Home depot is getting more competitive but they have a lot of hidden charges.
Ask around, look in the paper, ask for references.
Check out my site I have a interesting topic on Empire
