In earlier times there were limited choices and designs in the market of carpets. they were meant to give a natural look to the floor by hiding the sub-floor. In this new era, there are almost unlimited patterns, textures and colors to choose from. If you entera big carpet store you will be astonished to see the variety available today. Now a days, carpet is considered as the begining of the interior designing of any place.

In the present time, carpet is not used to substitute floor. It is used to give a better look to the room, hall, stairs etc. There is a large variety available in the traditional carpet as well. There is a major change in the thickness, textures and designs of these carpets.

Different colors in the carpet prevent the spots and spills from being visible. The plecks of color are not appearing against tan, beige, and cream type background as well as in other neutrals as well.

When we talk of today’s trends regarding carpets, layered colors and softer textures are more common. The combination of pattern and texture are popular because it minimises soil and vaccuum marks. This has another advantage also that the color and texture present distinct style and a lot of fashion appeal too.
