Never use cleaning agents that contain bleach. Bleach is very harmful for your carpet. Do not use silicon based treatment. You can dry the carpet faster if you turn on all the fans around.

The best method of carpet cleaning is the hot water extraction. It is also known as steam cleaning. In this, a mixture of water and detergent is sprayed on the carpet and then the water and soil is recovered by a powerful vaccuum cleaner and collected in a holding tank. This is the best method for soiled carpet and wet stains.
