I’m going to have carpet installed throughout my whole house soon and I do not have any baseboard along the walls yet. Should the baseboard go down before or after the carpet is installed?

Before and 1/2″ is a bit high. On standard 2 1/2 or 3″ base, use a scrape pc of base as thickness.. Going 1/2″ if you have a short nap carpet , you ll have a gap when the try to tuck carpet under the base GL

Before carpet and keep it 1/2 off the floor.
